Malleus Maleficarum

I think the hardest thing is to look at oneself and expose the things that are not pretty — the darkness we try to hide. This series of self-portraits explores ugliness and imperfection. It was inspired by the Malleus Maleficarum, a 15th-century treatise on witchcraft that classified, condemned, and proposed punishments for those the author labeled as witches or sorcerers.
